Dr Manoj Gupta was a former Head of Materials Division of the Mechanical Engineering Department and Director designate of Materials Science and Engineering Initiative at NUS, Singapore. He is currently among top 0.6% researchers as per Stanford’ List, among Top 1% Scientist of the World Position by The Universal Scientific Education and Research Network and among 1% among scientists as per ResearchGate. His international rank among Materials Researchers in World is currently at 1305. To his credit are: (i) Disintegrated Melt Deposition technique and (ii) Hybrid Microwave Sintering technique, an energy efficient solid-state processing method to synthesize alloys/micro/nanocomposites. He has published over 650 peer reviewed journal papers and owns two US patents and two Trade Secrets. His current h-index is 79, citations greater than 23500 and reads greater than 100,000 (Research Gate). He has also co-authored eight books, published by John Wiley, Springer and MRF - USA. He is Editor-in-chief/Editor of twelve international peer reviewed journals. Bingang Xu is a full Professor in School of Fashion and Textiles at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He serves now as the Chair of Research Postgraduate Programme Committee and Deputy Chair of Research Committee in the School. Prof. Xu has published over 200 book chapters, journal and conference papers, and also holds 12 granted patents. His research interests include smart and sustainable wearables, wearable electronics, energy harvesting, energy conversion and storage, computer vision and artificial intelligence. Prof. Xu's recent work on sustainable and energy materials and computer vision model has been published in high-impact SCI journals such as Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Applied Catalysis B-Environmental, Matter, Nano Energy, Materials Today, Energy Storage Materials, Nano-Micro Letters and IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics. Fong Kwong Yam is an associate professor at the School of Physics, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia. He is also the program chairman for engineering physics at USM. He earned his PhD in solid state physics from USM and is a specialist in condensed matter physics. He has been an engineer with Seiko Instruments (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and a research officer and then a lecturer and researcher at USM. Baoguo Han is currently a professor of civil engineering in the Dalian University of Technology, China. He was invited to the University of Minnesota and has worked as a visiting research scholar there for three years. His main research interests include cement and concrete materials, nano-engineered cementitious composites, smart materials and structures, multifunctional concrete, fiber reinforced concrete, and ultra-high performance concrete. He has published five authored books and one book video, three edited books, 17 book chapters, and more than 200 technical papers. The citations and h-index/i10-index in Google are 10734 and 54/156, respectively. The research outcomes have been reported as research highlights more than 20 times. He has held more than 20 authorized national invention patents and was awarded the first prize of Natural Science by the Ministry of Education of China. Dr. Hongfa (Henry) Hu is a tenured full Professor at Department of Mechanical, Automotive & Materials Engineering, University of Windsor. He was a senior research engineer at Ryobi Die Casting (USA), and a Chief Metallurgist at Meridian Technologies, and a Research Scientist at Institute of Magnesium Technology. His publications (over 150 papers) are in the area of magnesium alloys, composites, metal casting, computer modelling, and physical metallurgy. He was a Key Reader of the Board of Review of Metallurgical and Materials Transactions, a Committee Member of the Grant Evaluation Group for Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, National Science Foundation (USA) and Canadian Metallurgical Quarterly. He has served as a member or chairman of various committees for CIM-METSOC, AFS, and USCAR. His recent fundamental research is focussed on transport phenomena and mechanisms of solidification, phase transformation and dissolution kinetics. His applied research has included development of magnesium automotive applications, cost-effective casting processes for novel composites, and control systems for casting processes. Dr. Hongfei Liu is a senior scientist at IMRE/A*STAR. He received his B.E in Semiconductor Physics and Devices from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1996 and PhD in Condensed-Matter Physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2001. His research is focused on deposition, treatment, and characterization of solid-state materials.
